About the new ETS Gym

Located inside Eric Tweedale Stadium at 10 Montrose Avenue, Merrylands, the ETS Gym is open 7 days a week, from 6am to 12 midnight.

Discount for Seniors

Seniors that provide their valid pensioner concession card when enrolling into any services will receive a 20% discount. Without a valid pension card at the time of enrolment, standard prices apply.

Our low impact classes, Pilates, Stretch and Mobility and the Zumba morning class are all suitable for active seniors over 55 years of age. Please check the classes and timetable details below.

Classes and timetable

Body Conditioning - Women’s only class

A full body workout with the help of fun music, weights, TheraBand and other materials.

Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 11am

Bootcamp - High impact

A type of HIIT class that is held outside the gym, on the field or in the concrete covered area.

Tuesday and Thursday 7am to 7:45am

Evening class times

Monday and Wednesday 6pm to 6:45pm

Boxing - Medium to high impact

This class adapts boxing movements into exercise routines that bring many physical and mental health benefits. Requiring you to think and change your posture and position, you punch and squat as you perform boxing basics during a good workout.

Monday 6:45pm to 7:30pm

Cross Training - High impact

A mix between Bootcamp, HIIT and indoor Circuit classes. This class combines indoor and outdoor exercises to get the most out of your workout.

Tuesday and Thursday 9am to 9:45am

Saturday 7am to 7:45am

HIIT - High Intensity Interval Training - Medium to high impact

This type of high impact training involves repeated rounds of high intensity effort followed by varied recovery times. Provides a cardiovascular exercise alternating intense anaerobic exercises with less intense recovery periods. These classes will be held indoors within the main gym space.

Pilates - Low impact

Similar to Yoga, Pilates concentrates on posture, balance and flexibility. Concentrating on strengthening the body with an emphasis on core strength to improve general fitness and overall well-being. Low impact class suitable for all ages and levels. This class is available to seniors at a 20% discount.

Stretch and Mobility - Low impact

This class aims to improve flexibility and range of motion and is available to seniors at a 20% discount.

Zumba - Low impact

Cardio and Latin-inspired dance that combines upbeat Latin music with aerobics and dance moves. Low impact class suitable for all ages and levels. The morning class is available to seniors at a 20% discount, it brings a little bit of fun and social into a cardio workout.
