Cumberland City Council will present an online business networking event and a suite of specialised webinars for local businesses in Cumberland City, as part of NSW Small Business Month this October.

Ten businesses will share their experiences, challenges and learnings from 2020 at the Cumberland Business Xchange. This interview series organised by the Cumberland Business Chamber, will focus on how local businesses have faced and adapted to a rapidly changing market.

Boost your business - Sales Season Strategies, is the showcase webinar for the month, open to businesses across Cumberland City. The free webinar will also offer networking opportunities for local businesses and inspiring speakers, including business operators from the likes of Rashays, along with advice and guidance for aspiring start-ups on building a brand.

“We are committed to supporting local businesses during these tough times,” Mayor of Cumberland City Council, Steve Christou said.

“The free business networking event and webinars are a great opportunity for businesses to increase their knowledge and be equipped with the resources to boost their financial position.”

  • Webinar: Becoming an employer, Tuesday 13 October 2020 1.30pm - 2.30pm
  • Webinar: Considering your business viability, Tuesday 20 October 2020 10am -11am
  • Showcase Webinar: Boost Your Business - Sales Season Strategies, Thursday 29 October 2020, 6.30pm - 8pm

Cumberland City Council’s Small Business Month webinars have been supported by NSW Treasury, and in collaboration with Cumberland Business Chamber, Western Sydney Business Centre and The Australian Tax Office.
