Along with NSW Health we will host free webinars about COVID-19, the importance of complying with restrictions and general information about vaccinations from next week – offering concise and simple messages in community languages.

Presented in the six most widely spoken languages in the Cumberland local government area, residents can tune in for the 30 minute presentation, followed by a Q&A.

Starting Monday (6 Sept) from 7pm, NSW Health and Multicultural NSW will speak directly to residents to offer facts and information about how the virus spreads, its dangers and how best to avoid it. They will also detail the vaccination roll out, the side effects and how to book a vaccination appointment.

Mayor Steve Christou said with infections rising daily, this is another step in communicating effectively with a multi-cultural audience.

“These webinars will deliver precise information directly from the experts who know the ins and outs of the virus and the vaccine program.

“I invite anyone who wants more information or who has questions, to register.”
