Free school holiday event: Fun4Kids ‘Winter Wonderland’

This school holidays Central Gardens, Merrylands will be transformed into a ‘Winter Wonderland’, with free activities for kids aged 0-12 years from 10am-2pm, Friday 7 July 2017.

Free activities include:

  • ‘Frozen’ themed jumping castle
  • Giant play snow pit
  • Winter craft-making
  • Cupcake decorating
  • Sporting workshops
  • Stage show
  • Pony rides and animal petting zoo
  • Emergency Services display

Grab a bargain at the kid’s market selling handmade clothes, showbags and school holiday craft packs. Meanwhile lunch is covered with deliciously warm snack and lunch options perfect for a mid-winter picnic.

“Cumberland Council wants to make it easy for children, parents and their families to enjoy the school holidays and get the best out of the local area,” said Cumberland Council Interim General Manager Malcolm Ryan.

“The Fun4Kids ‘Winter Wonderland’ is all about giving families a great day out that doesn’t hurt the hip pocket.

“We are providing a free shuttle bus from Merrylands train station for families coming by train and from Merrylands Regional Park, where there is plenty of free parking.

“As the event falls within NAIDOC week, kids are also invited to visit the NAIDOC tent for Indigenous craft making, traditional storytelling and an interactive cooking workshop.

“I invite all young families to rug up, step out and get into Fun4Kids: Winter Wonderland”.
