Wentworthville Story Schemes and Dreams – Story Seed Pod Launch

When: Saturday 25 February 2017
Time: 10am – 1pm
Location: Friend Park
Corner Station and McKern Streets, Wentworthville

Cumberland Council invites you to celebrate and share unique stories, connections, and visions for an evolving Wentworthville as we launch the Story Seed Pod and creatively activate Friend Park.

The Story Seed Pod is a public artwork that brings together the story telling, art and memories of local artists and community members and simultaneously provides a space for sitting, reflection and encourages conversation.

The day will bring together and thank our local residents who have generously contributed to the project over the last 12 months.

This will include:

  • Launch of the Story Seed Pod – Graham Chalcroft
  • Artwork installations and Aboriginal storytelling from Aunty Cleonie Quayle
  • Knitfitti Floral and tree wrapping with Jody Mckechnie
  • Free herb seedling giveaways – Wentworthville Community Gardeners
  • Stories and poetry from the Auburn Poets and writers group
  • Poetry, performance and recipes – Auburn Poets and Writers Group
  • Local Music – The Duck River Band
  • Mudhabani singing and painting – Anamika Kishore
  • Books and storytelling – Wentworthville Library Storytellers
