Venue: The Holroyd Centre, 17 Miller St, Merrylands NSW 2160
Cumberland Council values its heritage, which contributes to the character and charm sought and valued by our local government area’s (LGA) residents and visitors alike.
The Cumberland Heritage Committee was formed in early 2018 to assist in developing programs and events for heritage, encourage restoration and maintenance of heritage properties, and promote the value of heritage among the wider community.
Cumberland Council is currently seeking expressions of interest for local heritage advisory committees, for the western, central, and eastern areas of our LGA (Holroyd, Granville and Auburn areas and surrounds). If there is sufficient interest in establishing these advisory committees, their role will be to make recommendations to the Cumberland Heritage Committee.
If you would like to know more about these local heritage committees or are interested in becoming a potential member, we would like to invite you to a networking event where members of the Cumberland Heritage Committee, historical societies, and the general community will be invited.
The networking event is an opportunity to meet members of the Cumberland Heritage Committee and other organizations, to share information on heritage, and to discuss how historical organisations can work together with the Heritage Committee.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Please RSVP to Trish Keating by Friday, 22 June 2018 via email at Trish.Keating@cumberland.nsw.gov.au or by phone on 8757 9742.
