Electronic Waste Recycling

Recycling the majority of e-waste is harmful to the environment because it contains non-biodegradable toxic substances which damage the environment if disposed of inappropriately. Cumberland Council can help you recycle this waste instead!

For Household e-waste only – no commercial e-waste accepted.

Accepted: Computer monitors, computer hard drives, keyboards and mouse, computer cables, printers and fax machines, laptops/notebooks, VCR, DVD and CD players, photocopiers and scanners, mobile phones, telephones and switchboards, televisions, microwaves, leads and cables, computer game consoles, stereo equipment, projectors, irons

NOT Accepted

  • White Goods
  • Commercial Waste
  • Fridges / freezers
  • Dishwashers
  • Washing machines / clothes dryers
  • Batteries
  • Cracked monitors and TVs

Note: SUEZ’s Seven Hills Transfer Station is now accepting TVs and computers FREE of charge. For more information and conditions of acceptance please view SUEZ’s E-Waste page. Hint: Recycle used printer cartridges through Planet Ark’s “Cartridges 4 PlanetArk” program.

Drop off old printer cartridges at Australia Post, Officeworks or JBHiFi and be part of the program which collects and returns cartridges for remanufacturing and recycling.

If you can't wait for our e-waste recycling collection call SIMS Recycling Solutions, Villawood on 8708 2015. E-waste can be dropped off here too.
