Originating in ancient China, today the Moon Festival is a celebration of the moon, thanksgiving, family, friends and community observed in China, with similar celebrations in Japan, Korea, Vietnam and other countries in East and Southeast Asia.
This free family friendly event is set to be a day of traditional and modern cultural activities, great food and more.

Behind the turntables for over 10 years, DJ Steve Zappa takes a step away from the one genre lifestyle with a taste for all ends of the musical spectrum & an impressive skill-set to match. Get ready to groove and move to his fusion tunes.

Qing Fong Lion Dancers
Established in 2018, the Qing Fong Lion Dance Team was founded through passion and love for the art of lion dancing. Watch them bring good luck and prosperity to the space.

Getting there
We encourage patrons attending to catch public transport. To plan your trip by public transport visit transportnsw.info/
Catching the train? The event is a 8-minute walk from Lidcombe Train Station.
Travelling by car? Parking is available in Church Street, Lidcombe. Please observe parking signs to avoid fines.
Prohibited items
Entry and activities at the event are free!
Persons are prohibited from entering with the following items:
- Air horn
- Alcohol
- Glass
- Fireworks, flares or explosives
- Illegal substances
- Poles, sticks and banners/flags
- Weapons or knives.
Any persons may be removed from the event for the following:
- Any person deemed to be intoxicated and/or disorderly.
- Any person who does not comply with a request from the organiser, security or regulatory bodies.
The possession of illegal items/ substances are a criminal offence and will be dealt with accordingly. Any prohibited items found will be confiscated by security and reported to the Police.
Inclement weather
In the case of heavy rain the event may be cancelled.

Accessibility
The event strives to be accessibly-friendly with wheelchair access and accessible toilets located within the event site.
Alcohol free zone
Wyatt park is a public space and is an alcohol free zone. Any alcohol found will be confiscated by Security.
