This program provides quality educational services for children with additional needs plus childcare support, advice and access to networks that link other families, with similar needs within the community.
The Centre staff are trained and experienced to work with children and their families who require further assistance. Outreach programs have been developed with other Cumberland Council centres to support the inclusion of children in mainstream childcare. Children are placed according to their individual needs and matched with a service that has a vacancy and will best support the needs of the child and family.
The staff in the Outreach program work with these children to provide quality educational programs including writing and implement individual objectives for each child. Council’s Inclusion Support Facilitator visits these centres regularly to support and resource the staff.
