School Holiday Vacation Care Program

We have prepared a program filled with exciting activities, theme days and workshops, providing a safe and homelike environment for school-aged children.

Programs, Centre Locations and Dates

The following school holiday programs run from Monday 8 July 2019 to Friday 19 July 2019.

There are 4 centres with separate programs for 5 to 9 year olds and 10 to 13 year olds.

All centres are open from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Guildford West OOSH – 50 Princes Street, Guildford West

This program is for children aged 5 to 9 years (Single Digits).

This program is for children aged 5 to 9 years (Single Digits).

Fee and Booking Information

Fees are charged by the day:
  • The 5 to 9 year old program is $55 per day.
  • The 10 to 13 year old program is $60 per day.

Bookings close on Friday 21 June 2019. A late booking fee of $37 applies after this date per child, per centre.

You need to register and book online via the SmartCentral website.

The SmartCentral website requires you to create an account, in order to login and use the booking system.

Activity Details

Celebration of Nations Workshop - arrive by 10am for Single Digits

Please pack morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, water and a wide brim or bucket hat.

A day for children to spend at the centre. The theme of the day will be for children to celebrate the various cultures of our community by participating in many organised activities throughout the indoor and outdoor program. The aim of the day is to grow awareness within our children of the cultures that surround them within our local and wider communities in order to develop their respect and understanding of diversity.

Golden Ridge Animal Farm Excursion - arrive by 8:30am for Single and Double Digits, bus returns by 3:30pm

A fun day spent outside the centre, the children will be heading to Dural Golden Ridge Animal Farm. At the farm, children will have the opportunity to hold and feed baby animals, pat the friendly goats and even learn how to milk a cow.

Superhero Holiday Fun Day Workshop - arrive by 9:30am for Single Digits

Please pack morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, water and a wide brim or bucket hat.

Come dressed in your favourite superhero or idols costume! The children will participate in a fun packed day at the centre where they will have a great time competing in the Superhero Olympics. Children will be encouraged to participate in fun outdoor games. The aim of the day is to get children outside and active where they will participate in both individual and team events.

NAIDOC - arrive by 9:30am for Single Digits

A day for children to get involved and learn about Australia’s indigenous culture. NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia each July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The theme for 2019 is Voice. Treaty. Truth. Let's work together. Children will participate in activities to educate them about the role Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people play within our local community and to recognise their significance. The aim of the day is to encourage children to be active members of the community and find a sense of belonging to groups and communities.

Flipping Disc Dogs Workshop - arrive by 9:30am for Single and Double Digits

Flipping Disc Dogs will present a spectacular show at the centre, teaching children how to behave safely around different kinds of dogs. The children will learn the importance of interacting with dogs by learning about a dog’s body language, building trusting relationships with dogs and the importance of positive reinforcement.

Try Sports Day - arrive by 9:30am for Single Digits

Each centre will be welcoming No Limit Sports to run various sporting programs over a few hours for the children to participate in. The purpose of the day is to allow children a forum in which they are exposed to various sports all in one place. This will allow them to try different sports at their own comfort and willingness. Try Sports Day is a great way for children to explore healthy lifestyle options that they may enjoy pursuing outside the centre on a regular basis. . Educator and children will come dressed in your favourite sports uniform.

Health and Wellbeing Day - arrive by 9:30am for Single Digits or 10am for Double Digits

Please pack morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, water and a wide brim or bucket hat. Children must wear enclosed shoes, no slippers.

In a fast paced world we all need some down time, especially children. Come dressed in your PJ’s for a day where we can relax, recover and recharge! On this day the children will be participating in some more relaxed programmed activities such as yoga, tai chi and meditation. Children will stay nice and comfy in their pyjamas while learning life-long skills to help stay calm, healthy and resilient throughout life. Children will engage in social activities, with an emphasis on building strong social skills within a group environment. Children will prepare healthy food meals together and share a meal in a group setting with their peers. On the day keep an look out for some take home information about local support groups eg: free health and wellbeing programs

Movies - arrive by 8:30am for Single Digits or 9:30am for Double Digits

Please pack morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, water and a wide brim or bucket hat. Children are welcome to bring individual snacks, no products containing nuts.

A great day for the children to spend out and about. The centres will be heading to Reading Cinema at Auburn to watch a movie and enjoy time with their friends. Upon returning to the centre the children will be encouraged to participate in some planned performing arts activities. The aim of the day is for children to build friendships, confidence and to have fun.

Taekwondo Workshop - arrive by 9:30am for Single and Double Digits

The centres will be welcoming Red Dragon Taekwondo to facilitate an active workshop for the children. Children will be given the opportunity to participate in an intermediate lesson of Taekwondo where they will learn various movements and strategies used within the sport. Children will learn self-defence techniques, learn about the history of Taekwondo and engage in a fun and interactive workshop.

Futuristic Fun - arrive by 10am for Single Digits

A day organised by the educators at the centre, children will be spending their day participating in a variety of science based programs. They will have fun thinking outside the box as they participate in science experiments, space aged games and design their own futuristic vehicle using recycled materials. The key elements of the day are to encourage children to collaborate with each other and consolidate their learning. They will work in groups to learn about space and dream up futuristic concepts.

Boxing Boot Camp - arrive by 9:30am for Double Digits

The centre will be welcoming some members of our community to run a fun and interactive boxing boot camp program. Children will be given the forum to participate in a safe contact sporting program that will allow them to explore new ways to stay healthy. The program will allow them to try different movements at their own comfort and willingness. Boxing boot camp is a great way for children to explore healthy lifestyle options. Following this workshop we hope to ignite children’s interest in staying physically fit and active.

Around the World - arrive by 10am for Double Digits

Theme of the day will be for children to celebrate the various cultures within our community by sharing in a multicultural lunch prepared by children and educators. Children will also participate in organised activities in the indoor and outdoor program. The aim of the day is to extend children’s awareness of the vast number of people living within our local community. Our aim is to further develop the children’s understanding of diversity and develop respect for one another.

Picture Perfect - arrive by 10am for Double Digits

Please pack morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, water and a hat.

A fun focused and confidence building day at the centre. Children will be participating is some great activities, all focused around the use of digital media and craft. They will have the chance to get involved in various programmed activities from selfie scavenger hunts right through to experimenting with sun sensitive imagery. The aim of the day is to promote positive teamwork and communication between all children and educators involved.

Light it Up - arrive by 10am for Double Digits

A day at the centre where children will participate in programmed activities arranged by the Educators. As the name suggests, children will have the opportunity to participate in activities based around the use of light whether it be candle making, making stained glass windows or shadow puppets- there will be an activity for everyone! The purpose of the day is for children to experiment with a range of technologies and materials.

Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq - arrive by 9:30am for Double Digits

The centre will be heading to Alexandria for a fun day at Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq. The children will have the chance to test out their bowling skills or immerse themselves in the digital arcade and laser tag. They will also have access to use of the dodgems facilities at the venue. The aim of the day is for the children to have fun and develop their social wellbeing within a group environment.
