Venue details

The Granville Centre is a multipurpose centre with 16 community spaces available for hire and suitable for events, conferences, meetings, training and community programs/services. It also facilitates recreational use of the Library, Art Gallery and workshop, outdoor spaces and Granville Swim Centre.

The Granville Centre is located at 1 Memorial Drive, Granville with parking entry via Diamond Avenue. This centre offers a range of spaces for hire:

NOTE: The below protocols and revised capacities are in place due to COVID-19.

    The Granville Centre is an accessible facility and has on-site parking. There is also an on-site cafeteria with seating and access to audio visual equipment to cater for large or small events.

    Note: Granville Centre facility fee pricing will be trialled for the first year of operation and are introductory prices, subject to change in the future. Trial prices are indicative only and set in line with Cumberland Council's current facility’s categories as detailed in Fees and Charges 2020 / 2021 (PDF, 1.4MB).

    The Large Hall combines the hall and 2 multipurpose rooms. 

    This large space of 453m2 is suitable for private functions, weddings and celebrations, business launches, formal presentations, recreation programs and other activities and programs that require a large space.

    Full size windows and doors open to the Memorial Park if required for large events or for a more private event, curtains are also available.

    Hirers have access to high quality audio and visual equipment including wireless microphones and with your choice of either round tables or rectangle tables, this area can be transformed into the perfect venue for any event, function or program.

    A kitchenette can be used if required, or if a larger catering option is required, there is a full commercial kitchen available for hire also.

    This space is a medium to large space and is suitable for business launches, private functions, formal presentations, recreation programs and other activities and programs that require a large space.

    Full size windows and doors open to the Memorial Park if required for large events or for a more private event, curtains are also available.

    Hirers have access to high quality audio and visual equipment including wireless microphones and with your choice of either round tables or rectangle tables, this area can be transformed into the perfect venue for any event, function or program.

    The mirrored wall to one side provides an instant dance studio or rehearsal space or personal training environment, and the access to high quality audio visual equipment ensures for the perfect experience.

    The Meeting Place

    This large meeting space, is a flexible multi-use room for any form of program, workshop, training, team building activity, drop in programs.

    The Meeting Place features a full size kitchenette with a large refrigerator (perfect for storing food for your all-day event) and designer lighting combined with full floor to ceiling windows filtering natural light and access to the outdoor area. Workspace benches are available for work on your laptop or just to recharge your phones/tablets. The room contains casual seating and table furniture which can be arranged in any design suitable for your activity/program/function. Wireless access to speakers allows you to create a custom experience and environment for any type of event.

    Located across the hall from the fully equipped Creative Suite, The Meeting Place can be used for all types of programs to suit your needs.

    Our Large Commercial Kitchen is one of the few available in Western Sydney to book for a few hours or for a full day (depending on availability).

    The kitchen is suitable for training and learning environments for up to 12 people or for catering for a large event/function.

    The kitchen is a fully equipped commercial kitchen with plenty of shelving space. Equipment includes:

    Co-Lab Studio

    A studio for the collaborators to mix, edit, produce and bring genius and creative ideas together! Collaborators can view their work on the large LCD screens or use the multiple Mac Desktops to continue working on their productions as a team. The informal seating allows for a relaxed atmosphere and tables and chairs are also provided for your workspace needs. The Co-Lab Studio adjoins the music studio, the recording studio and the video studio and is the perfect space to focus on your creative work.

    The Co-Lab Studio is a great space for training in creative programs and compliments the technology and virtual reality equipment that the centre can provide for learning and educational purposes. The equipment includes:

    A small office space (7.9m2) designed for small meetings, interviews, counselling services.     The Training Room

    Located on level one of the Granville Centre, the training room features a full suite of computers, a projector and screen for training that can be accessed wirelessly. The room is accessible with a lift and accessible toilets.

    The room is dedicated to training and has appropriate lighting and an audio system to compliment the high quality visual system. With plenty of workspace bench space available for work on your laptop if you need and ample charging inputs to recharge your phones / tablets.
