Project Harmony

Project Harmony is a collaborative initiative spearheaded by Royal Life Saving NSW with backing from the NSW Government and various Local Governments across Western and South Western Sydney.

About Project Harmony

The Project Harmony Initiative aims to provide 10 complimentary swimming lessons to underprivileged children (aged 3 to 6 years) in Western Sydney who have previously lacked access to such programs.

Cumberland Council are partnering with Royal Life Saving NSW to deliver the Project Harmony initiative to Cumberland residents.

Swimming Lessons 

Swimming lessons will run over a 10-week time span (1 class per week) during Term 2 and Term 3.

A 10-day intensive program will also be offered during the July School holidays.

These lessons will be conducted at Wentworthville and Granville Swim Centre.

Eligibility

To be eligible to participate in Project Harmony, a child must be;

  • 3 to 6 years of age
  • Not enrolled in Primary School
  • And live within Western or South Western Sydney suburbs

*Please note that families who are not able to access their First Lap voucher or who have already used them will not be excluded from the program as long as they, or a sponsor, pay the $50 equivalent amount to replace the First Lap Voucher.
