Available 24/7, DAISY offers general planning advice to help you better understand requirements, reduce confusion, and feel more confident when starting your DA journey.
Daisy is available on a trial basis, funded by the NSW Government's Early Adopter Grant Program.
How can DAISY help?
DAISY can help:
- Explain residential planning rules.
- Identify which documents are required for your application.
- Validate documents you’ve uploaded.
- Generate a pack ready for submission to the NSW Planning Portal.
- Answer general questions about Local Environmental Plans (LEPs), Development Control Plans (DCPs) and other planning policies.

Where does DAISY get its information?
DAISY references NSW state planning laws and local council regulations, including LEPs and DCPs, to provide guidance.
Does DAISY store user information?
DAISY securely stores user-entered data in compliance with privacy laws, enabling users to return and continue their application process later.
Can DAISY track the status of a DA application?
DAISY does not integrate with tracking systems. Users should check the NSW Planning Portal or the Cumberland City Council DA tracker for status updates.
Can DAISY submit a DA application?
DAISY assists with preparation, but submissions must be completed through the NSW Planning Portal.
What happens after documents are uploaded to DAISY?
DAISY checks that the document uploaded is the document being requested, then allows users to download them in the correct format for submission.
Can DAISY make final decisions on applications?
No. DAISY offers guidance, but all final decisions regarding Development Applications are made by Council planning staff.
How can users provide feedback about DAISY?
Feedback can be submitted through a the ‘Contact Us’ form in the DAISY interface.
