Once you have booked a court online you will receive a PIN to access the court/s you have booked.

Frequently asked questions

When will the PIN open the gate?

Please note that your booking PIN will take at least 30 minutes to activate once you have made your booking online. If you can, book at least 30 minutes before you want to access the courts.

Once the player receives their PIN, it will be valid from 15 minutes prior to the start of their booking time and expire 15 minutes after the end of their booking time. The PIN will not open the gate outside of these times.

For example, if you’re booking is from 7 to 8pm, your booking can be used anytime between 6:45pm and 8:15pm.

How do I know if I have entered my PIN correctly?

When you enter your PIN, you will need to listen carefully for the beeps of the PIN Pad. A valid PIN entry will be confirmed by two short beeps. If your PIN is not valid or has been entered incorrectly, you will hear one long tone. The pin pad light should also turn green after a valid booking PIN has been successfully entered.

The lights on my court are already on. Do I need to enter my booking PIN?

Yes. The PIN must be entered in the first 15 minutes to activate the lights when you arrive, even if the lights are already on and/or the gate is unlocked.

My lights have turned off, what should I do?

There may be time where your lights have unexpectedly turned off. If your booking is still valid and lights are still required, simply re-enter your booking PIN at the gate and the lights automatically turn back on provided there is still time remaining for the booking.

Note: You may need to allow for the lights to cool down / warm up.

I didn’t pay for lights. How do I turn them on?

There is no additional payment required for lights. Provided you have entered your PIN at the start of your booking and it is dark enough outside, the lights on your court will automatically turn on. The system monitors the light level and ensures there is enough light to play.

I cannot play anymore, how do I cancel my bookings?

Cancellation must be managed online, 24 hours prior to your bookings to qualify for a refund.

I could not play due to rain, what should I do?

Please notify Council via email within 24 hours of your bookings to qualify for a refund.

Casual Hire

  • All court hire is subject to availability.
  • Minimum hire period is one hour, with additional time bookable in 30-minute increments.
  • Casual bookings may be made up to 8 weeks in advance.
  • Payment is required at the time of booking, and access codes will be issued with the payment receipt.

Regular Hire

  • Regular hire is also subject to availability, with a minimum hire period of one hour, and subsequent 30-minute increments.
  • Bookings can be made up to 8 weeks in advance, with payment required at the time of booking.
  • Access codes will be issued with the payment receipt.
  • Registered tennis coaches with a minimum $5 million public liability insurance will be given early access to regular bookings to support the development of local professional tennis.

Public Liability Insurance

  • All incorporated bodies, clubs or commercial groups must hold a current public liability insurance policy of at least $20 million.
  • Proof of insurance must be provided prior to the start of the hire period and updated copies must be submitted upon renewal of the policy.

Conditions of Hire

  • Bookings may be made up to 8 weeks in advance.
  • Online payment by credit card is required to secure a booking.
  • Cancellations (casual or regular) made at least 24 hours in advance are eligible for a refund.
  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice are non-refundable.
  • Inclement weather cancellations must be reported to Council via email within 24 hours of the scheduled booking.
  • A minimum interval of 60 minutes is required between consecutive bookings. Hirers must vacate the court during this interval.
  • Hirers are responsible for any injury or accident occurring during the booking.
  • Courts must be vacated promptly at the end of the scheduled hire period.
  • For maintenance-related interruptions, hirers must provide documented evidence that the court was unusable to request a booking refund. Courts must be left clean and tidy after use.
  • Maintenance issues should be reported to Council on 8757 9000.
  • Failure to comply with these conditions may result in penalties or future bookings being refused.
  • Tennis balls and rackets are not provided.
