The Diwali Street Festival is returning to the streets of Wentworthville this November.

Join us as we welcome the Diwali Street Festival back to the streets of Wentworthville for 2025.

Where: Station Street, Wentworthville

Day 1: Saturday 1 November from 5pm to 10pm
Day 2: Sunday 2 November from 1pm to 8pm

Experience the magic of Diwali as the streets come alive with vibrant performances, delicious sweet and savoury food, and the warmth of our wonderful community. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the Festival of Light together.

Where can I park?

Street parking is available on surrounding streets. Please refer to parking signs to avoid any parking infringements. We recommend parking at the Kingsway Carpark for convenience.

What is the nearest train station/bus stop to this event?

Wentworthville Train Station is the closest station, located just a 2-minute walk from the event.

What is the best way to get to this event?

This event can be accessed via any transportation option. However, we strongly encourage patrons to travel via public transport. To plan your trip by public transport visit: Transportnsw.info

Is there disabled parking and access at this event?

This event aims to be accessibly-friendly with wheelchair access, accessible bathrooms and accessible parking. For any accessibility requests, please email events@cumberland.nsw.gov.au

Can we bring our own food?

You can, but with so many delicious and affordable food options available on the day, you might not want to!

Are there Vegan/Vegetarian/Gluten Free food options?

Participating food vendors cater for various dietary needs. Please check with the food vendor if you are unsure.

Can we bring alcohol?

No, this event is held in an alcohol-free zone. Any alcohol brought onsite will be confiscated by Police.

Is this event free?

This event is a family friendly event, perfect for all ages.

  • Animals (except for authorised guide dogs and assistance animals)
  • Alcohol
  • Clothing that is Suburb or Gang related
  • Glass
  • Fireworks, flares or explosives
  • Illegal substances
  • Poles, sticks and banners/flags.
  • Weapons or knives

Is this event pet friendly?

Yes, pets are welcome as the event is held on the street. Please ensure they are restrained at all times.

What happens if it rains on the day?

In the event of adverse weather, Council may choose to cancel or postpone the event. Notification will be provided via council’s social media channels. If you wish to confirm the events status, please call councils events team on 8757 9000.

Will there be fireworks at this event?

There will be no fireworks at this event. A lighting show finale will be held at 9:15pm.

What happens to lost property?

Any lost property handed in to security or event staff will be kept at the Event Site Office. Items not collected by the end of the event will be transferred to Council’s Administration Building.

Will there be any road closures in place for this event?

A road closure is in place on Station Street between McKern Street, Pritchard Street East and Dunmore Street, Wentworthville. Rick Street Carpark will also be closed. The road closure will come into effect on Saturday 1, November 2025 from 7am. Roads will re-open at 2am on Monday, 3 November 2025.
