About the Club

Learn more about the many native bird species in our area.

The Native Bird Program, supported by Bird Life Australia, aims to raise awareness on the value of native birds and improve habitat connectivity through the community. 

Members will be given the opportunity to participate in community bird walks where beneficial data will be collected and sent to Bird Life Australia to aid in accurate species mapping of birds in Cumberland.

Acknowledgement of Country

Cumberland Council acknowledges the Darug Nation and People as Traditional Custodians of the land on which the Cumberland Local Government Area (LGA) is situated and pays respect to Aboriginal Elders both past, present and future. We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples as the First Peoples of Australia. Cumberland Council also acknowledges other Aboriginal, and Torres Strait Islander Peoples living in the Cumberland LGA and reaffirms that we will work closely with all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to advance reconciliation within the area.
