History of Cumberland City Council
Cumberland Council was proclaimed on 12 May 2016, resulting from the merger of parts of the southern portion of Auburn City Council, the Woodville Ward of Parramatta City Council, Granville (south of the Western Railway Line) and Holroyd excluding most of Mays Hill.
History of Auburn City Council
Auburn became a municipality in 1892 and the first Auburn Town Hall opened six years later at Auburn Road.
History of Granville Municipal Council
Granville Municipal Council was formed in 1885. The Council Chambers opened four years later in 1889.
History of the City of Holroyd
The City of Holroyd was created on 5 July 1872 and was originally known as the Municipality of Prospect and Sherwood.
History of Rookwood and Lidcombe Municipality
Rookwood Municipality was formed in late 1891, the first meeting was held in 1892. The name was changed to Lidcombe in 1913.
