Council’s Lifestyle & Leisure Links (NDIS) Program participants showcased an uplifting performance at this years’ Community Christmas Carols Event at Auburn Botanical Gardens.
The performance of Christmas Carols at the event symbolised kindness, generosity and the importance of fostering compassion and bringing a sense of warmth to community.
Whilst our coming together to celebrate also respected the themes of International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD), that falls in December.
The performance intersected with the spirit of Christmas, highlighting inclusion.
The theme for IDPwD 2025 was to foster disability, an inclusive society and advancing social progress. In today’s diverse society, fostering a sense of belonging is more essential than ever. Inclusive activities are powerful tools that bring people together, celebrate differences, and aligns with our values of being a place where everyone feels valued.
