Hop on over and join us at Central Gardens Nature Reserve for a vibrant, joyous Easter celebration. Enjoy the magic of the season and create special Easter celebration memories in the beautiful environment of the Gardens.

Get ready to celebrate Easter in the Gardens!

Enjoy the many fabulous activities, including our new Hop and Seek Adventure.

This Easter egg search is a relaxed, at your‑own‑pace activity where you collect chocolate eggs as you explore the park. Follow the paths, look around the displays and spot chocolate treats hidden in sweet little places along the way. There’s no racing or competition – just a fun outing, some laughs and the simple excitement of finding a treat.

Activities will include:

  • Easter Bunny
  • Free facepainting
  • Free craft and interactive activities
  • Hop and Seek Adventure - Easter egg search - Registration required, bookings open 14 March 2026
  • Storytime

Nearest train station/bus stop?

Merrylands Train Station is an 8-minute drive. From the station, take a bus and get off at Betts Road Bus Stop (5-minute walk).

Where can I park?

Parking is available in the carpark area located in the park. Access is via Merrylands Road. Additional street parking is available on Paton Street and surrounding streets. Please observe parking signs and avoid resident driveways.

Can we bring our own food? You can bring your own food. Food options will also be available at the event.

Vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free options? Please check with food vendors if unsure.

Can we bring alcohol? No. Central Gardens Nature Reserve is an alcohol-free zone.

Can I smoke or vape at the event? Not encouraged. Please do so outside of the park.

Shade shelter/marquee? Not permitted for safety reasons.

Is the event free? Yes. No tickets required.

Is it family friendly? Yes.

Prohibited items: Airhorns and silly string; animals and pets (except authorised assistance animals); alcohol; glass; fireworks/flares/explosives; illegal substances; poles/sticks/banners/flags; weapons/knives; suburb/gang related clothing.

Is this event pet friendly? Pets are not permitted in Central Gardens Nature Reserve (except authorised assistance animals).

What happens if it rains? Council may cancel or postpone due to adverse weather. Updates will be provided via Council social channels. To confirm event status call Events Team on 02 8757 9020.

Can I be a stallholder? Applications have closed.

Are ATMs available? No. Vendors accept cashless payments.
