The proposal is Designated Development under the provisions of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2021.
Designated/ Integrated Development - In accordance with Schedule 3 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2021, this proposal is defined as a 'waste management facilities or works” and therefore is classified as ‘Designated Development’. In addition, pursuant to Section 4.46 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, the proposal is also classified as ‘Integrated Development’ as it requires an Environmental Protection License from the NSW Environmental Protection Authority under the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997.
