National Carers Week

National Carers Week will run from Sunday 13 to Saturday 19 October 2024. It is a time to recognise, celebrate and raise awareness about the 2.65 million Australians who provide care and support to a family member or friend.

Activities for National Carers Week 

During National Carers Week we're celebrating carers in our community with an information session for carers and a night of dinner and dancing for carers and their care recipients.

Carers Information Session

To celebrate National Carers Week from 13 to 19 October 2024, Cumberland City Council Seniors and Disability Services is inviting carers to a fun night out, filled with dancing, good food and great company. Everyone will enjoy dinner and be treated to various types of dancing.

Where: Guildford Community Centre – North Hall, 90 O’Neill Street, Guildford
When: 18 October 2024
Time: 5:15pm – 8:30pm
Cost: Free for carers. Cost for recipients: $40.00 for dinner and show, $14.20 for transport. Payment required at event (cash only). For more information, call 8757 9031.

Acknowledgement of Country

Cumberland Council acknowledges the Darug Nation and People as Traditional Custodians of the land on which the Cumberland Local Government Area (LGA) is situated and pays respect to Aboriginal Elders both past, present and future. We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples as the First Peoples of Australia.
