Saturday, 18 January 2025 - Join Bindi Bosses, an independent South Asian contemporary dance company, for vibrant workshops that blend ancient tradition with modern choreography.
Workshops are led by Shyamla Eswaran, founder and director of Bindi Bosses.
Workshop times
Registrations required. Workshops are for ages 7 years and over. Children aged 15 years old and under participating in this program must be supervised for the entire duration of the program by a parent/guardian/responsible adult
- 1pm to 2pm Parai Attam workshop
- 3pm to 4pm Introduction to Kolattam (Tamil Folk Dance)
- 5pm to 6pm Kuthu Moves workshop (Tamil folk dance)

- Silambam, a Tamil Martial Art practiced during Pongal
- Pop-up Kolattam, grab a set of sticks, join in, and try Kolattam - a traditional Tamil Stick dance
- Parai drummer performances
- From 2pm to 5pm inclusive free natural Henna application for guests with customised Kolam and Pongal theme, subject to availability.
