Conditions of Entry
- Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Conditions of Entry. Entry into this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Conditions of Entry by each entrant.
- Entry is open to students from 8 to 18 years old who live in or attend school in the Cumberland City Council LGA or are members of the Council library service.
- The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants. The Promoter may require such information as it considers reasonably necessary for this purpose and a prize may be withheld unless and until the Promoter is satisfied with the verification.
Duration of Promotional Period
- Entries will open Monday, 2 March 2026.
- Entries will close Sunday, 26 July 2026.
How to Enter
- Eligible entrants can enter the competition by submitting their story, poem or graphic short story which will be submitted with the relevant entry form.
- Entries must be received by the Promoter during the promotional period.
Draw Details
- Only finalists will be contacted by a representative of the Cumberland City Council Library Service and invited to an award presentation day.
- If any prize is declined, or the winner cannot be contacted within a reasonable time, a supplementary winner may be selected by the Promoter.
Prize Details
- The prizes will consist of vouchers to a bookstore. Amounts will vary based on finalist position and age category.
- The Promoter will not be liable for any loss of prize or voucher expiry.
