We’re calling on all creative kids in the Cumberland area to enter our Child Safe Creative Competition and have their design featured in a first of its kind child protection signage rollout.

Mayor of Cumberland City Council Steve Christou highlights the importance of child protection and encourages kids to apply.

“As a first in NSW, we are inviting local children and young people to submit an artwork to feature in our upcoming Child Safe signage display in some of our key centres and facilities across Cumberland City,” Mayor Christou said.

“The competition also acknowledges National Child Protection Week which runs from 5-11 September, with this year’s theme being every child, in every community, needs a fair go,”.

Anyone under the age of 18 years can apply and be in the running to win a $50 gift card as well as have their design featured on Council’s signage.

We want to see your drawing, painting, photograph or original graphic design reflecting themes around child safety and protection.
