Active Ageing Week

Active Ageing Week celebrates older adults’ contributions and promotes healthy lifestyles through engaging wellness activities.

Active Ageing Week encourages adults over the age of 60 (50 for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders) to take advantage of all that life has to offer.

The goal of this week is to promote wellness initiatives and to get bodies up and moving!


Activities

Join us from 5 to 11 October for a week filled with free activities designed to help you stay active, connected and healthy. From Belly Dancing and Trivia to Aqua Zumba, Chair Yoga and Seniors Circuits, there's something for everyone.

Terms and Conditions:

Activities are available to: 

  • Residents aged 65 years and over.
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents aged 50 years and over.
  • People with disability aged 18 years and over.
  • Carers residing within Cumberland City LGA.

If you have Flu-like symptoms, please do not attend. 

Bookings open Monday 21 September and close Friday 25 September or once booked out.

If you do not attend this may impact your ability to book for future Seniors & Disability events provided by Council.
