Author Talk with Paula J. Beavan

An avid reader from childhood, Paula grew up on a small property in the Hunter Valley, riding horses, mustering cattle, and listening to the tales of local farriers, cattlemen and farmers. Her love of the land and its history together with a curiosity about the challenges faced by the pioneering women of the region led her to seek out stories of the area’s early European settlers.

‘Among the Grey Gums’ is Paula’s latest work and promises to captivate readers with its stunning historical background and absorbing narrative. During the talk, Paula will share insights into the historical context of the era depicted in her book and attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and purchase a copy of ‘Among the Grey Gums’ signed by the author
