About Family Day Care
Warm, supportive home environments
Family Day Care is recommended for parents and guardians who have commitments or work outside of regular business hours – including nights and weekends.
It is held within safe, supportive family environments where your child will get the full attention of a professional educator.
Children from different cultures and backgrounds are warmly welcomed.
How we monitor Family Day Care
Assessments are made by the Australian Children’s Education Care Quality Authority.
The National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education and Care also provides best practice benchmarks for the service.
The assessment process recognises the strengths and areas where improvements can be put in place. It involves educators, staff, children, families and management.
Types of activities
Your child will play and learn in small groups of children within a home-style environment.
Educational and play-based programs are based around the National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education and Care.
Educators work closely with every child.
