Create Cumberland: Our Community Strategic Plan

Council is holding interactive sessions to get feedback from the community about the Community Strategic Plan (CSP). At each location, the first 50 attendees who complete a survey will receive a FREE ACAI BOWL. These sessions will allow you to share your thoughts about the future of Cumberland.

  • Redgum Function Centre: Tuesday 8 October, 11am to 2pm
  • Allan G Ezzy Function Centre: Monday 14 October, 11am to 2pm
  • Berala Community Centre: Monday 21 October, 11am to 2pm
  • Auburn Centre for Community: Monday 28 October, 11am to 2pm
  • The Holroyd Centre: Saturday 2 November, 11am to 2pm

School Holiday Programs


Council’s spring school holiday program is now open!

Keep the children entertained with our exciting school holiday activities at Council Libraries, Community Centres or enrol for special swim programs at Granville Swim Centre, Wentworthville Memorial Swim Centre or Merrylands Swim Centre during the October school holidays.

Save the Date - Diwali Street Festival


Council will once again be lighting up the streets of Wentworthville for the Diwali Street Festival on Saturday 9 November from 5pm to 10pm. Explore the street bazaar, join in the fun at the Bollywood Block Party, try out the range of South Asian and Indian cuisine and get hands-on with the arts and cultural activities.

Wentworthville Community Open Day


The Wentworthville Community Garden Open Day is returning on Saturday 19 October, from 9:30am to 2pm! Come along and explore the fresh produce and market stalls and browse through trash and treasures. There will also be fun activities for the little ones to enjoy.

Council has recently installed a new public elevator at 5 Tooheys Lane in Lidcombe, operating 24 hours in the carpark.

PetFest


Celebrate the return of PetFest on Sunday 20 October, from 10am to 2pm at Holroyd Gardens in Merrylands! Bring your furry friends for a day of fun featuring stalls, food, shows, and FREE microchipping for the first 50 Cumberland City residents (limited to two pets per household, registrations essential).

Emergency Services Family Fun Day


Council will hold the Emergency Services Family Fun Day on Thursday 10 October at Wyatt Park in Lidcombe from 10am to 2pm. Bring your friends and family along to this FREE fun day with our local Police, NSW Fire, SES, GWS Giants and much more.
