Transition to School Program

A program for children who have never attended child care or preschool and are starting school next year.

Transition to School Program

Start your child’s schooling year strong by enrolling them into our Transition to School Program (PDF, 215KB). This program is designed for children who turn 4 years old on or before 31 July and are not currently enrolled in a preschool or long day care program.

The program runs from 9:30am to 2:30pm and is currently available at Holroyd Children’s Centre Gumnut Grove and Guildford West Children’s Centre. Your child must enrol for three days (Monday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Friday).

To enrol your child, please submit an Education and Care Request Form.

Acknowledgement of Traditional Custodians

Cumberland City Council acknowledges the Darug Nation and People as Traditional Custodians of the land on which the Cumberland Local Government Area (LGA) is situated and pays respect to Aboriginal Elders both past, present and future. We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples as the First Peoples of Australia. Cumberland City Council also acknowledges other Aboriginal, and Torres Strait Islander Peoples living in the Cumberland LGA and reaffirms that we will work closely with all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to advance reconciliation within the area.
