Cumberland’s Women Shine: A Celebration of Strength and Success

On Monday, 10 March, we came together at The Holroyd Centre in Merrylands for Cumberland’s International Women’s Day Brunch. It was a morning filled with celebration, inspiration, and incredible stories! We heard from extraordinary women who, each day, break boundaries, make an impact, and drive change, proving once again that Cumberland is home to some truly remarkable talent. One of the highlights of the day was showcasing our special International Women’s Day campaign video. Seeing the incredible women of Cumberland on the big screen and sharing their stories was a proud and powerful moment. Their strength, resilience, and tenacity were on full display, reminding us all why continuing the push for gender equality is so important. The solidarity (and fun) in the photo below says it all. Yay us!

Auburn Shines at the Ramadan Street Festival

Over two unforgettable nights on Saturday 8 March, and Sunday 9 March, Auburn Road was lit up with the sights, sounds, and flavours of Ramadan, bringing together thousands of people to celebrate this special time of year. Families, friends, and visitors from all over Sydney gathered to share in the rich traditions of Ramadan, enjoying a feast of delicious food under the stars. Showcasing our diverse and inclusive community, people of all backgrounds came together to celebrate not only Ramadan but Cumberland, for the amazing place it is. A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made this festival so special. Whether you were breaking fast, enjoying the entertainment, or simply taking in the festive atmosphere, your presence was our privilege.
