Sydney Cherry Blossom Festival is ready to make its triumphant return from Saturday 21 August to Sunday 29 August in a nine-day COVID-safe event at the Auburn Botanic Gardens.

Mayor of Cumberland City Council Steve Christou said health and safety measures are in place to ensure the event follows health directives.

“We know the past few weeks have been difficult. That’s why it’s important to give our community a chance to get outdoors, indulge in delicious foods and enjoy the offerings of this anticipated event.”

“The Sydney Cherry Blossom Festival is our signature event of the year and allows residents and festival-goers from around Sydney to come to our part of town, taste, explore and discover while the cherry blossoms are in full bloom,” Mayor Steve Christou said.

Capturing the hearts of Sydneysiders, the Sydney Cherry Blossom Festival features a walk through the cherry blossom trail, a mix of traditional and pop Japanese culture, food, music and entertainment.

The event will run daily from 21 August over nine days from 9am to 5pm and will give festival goers an exclusive opportunity for an Instagrammable picture with the blossoms, a meet and greet with festival favourite Hello Kitty and Japanese inspired mindfulness meditation.

Entry is free for Cumberland City residents and all children four years-old and under, and $10 for non-residents. Tickets are essential for all festival goers.

Tickets are now available, and places are limited. For more information and to secure your spot visit: https://www.cumberland.nsw.gov.au/sydneycherryblossomfestival
