Due to public health concerns surrounding coronavirus, Cumberland City Council has postponed its Lunar New Year celebrations, which were to be held in Auburn this Saturday (1 February 2020).
We acknowledge that current circumstances are not ideal for celebrating in a safe and healthy way and Council has a responsibility to consider public safety.
The decision is unfortunate but is in the best interests of our community.
A new date for the event will be announced in the near future and be contingent on advice from public health authorities.
