Cumberland City Council has cancelled its Ramadan Street Food Festival, which was to be held in Auburn on 9 May 2020, following the recommendation against “non-essential” events with more than 500 people.

We acknowledge that current circumstances are not ideal for celebrating in a safe and healthy way and Council has a responsibility to consider public safety.

The decision is unfortunate but is in the best interests of our community.

Council will continue to act on advice from public health authorities.
