Mayor Steve Christou recently joined Good360 Australia's packing project as they organised care packages for frontline health workers in Cumberland.

“I was honoured to be involved in the packing project for the Westmead Foundation’s frontline workers and I am always excited to welcome opportunities like this,” said Mayor Christou.

Good360 work with over 50 dedicated charities who receive product in the Cumberland LGA.

“The two biggest recipients in the LGA are the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW who have distributed product all over the state as well as Westmead Hospital Foundation who have been under fire due to the pressures of COVID-19,” said Mayor Christou.

“Many passionate people and businesses generously provide skills, time and funds and I thank them for their kindness.

“With the generous support of donors, funders and partners, Good360 is able to repurpose goods and direct them to Australians who need them most.

“It is a great concept where businesses have the opportunity to donate spare and excess goods to lift up Australians.

”That’s what community spirit and local impact is all about.”

Alison Covington, Good360 Founder and Managing Director says Australia has been hit hard by recent disasters including drought, fires, floods and the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The demand on Good360 services has increased enormously and is expected to remain high on the long road to recovery,” said Ms Covington.

“We are proud to be providing care packs to Westmead Hospital workers who have been at the frontline during the COVID-19 crisis.

“Good360 is very grateful to our product donors, funders and volunteers who help us get brand new goods to vulnerable people providing hope and dignity.”
