9 Jan 2019 - Events

Holroyd Gardens will be transformed into an open air cinema between 17 and 19 January as Council hosts free, family friendly movie nights.

Mayor Greg Cummings said this event is brand new to the Cumberland calendar and is a great opportunity for families to get together to enjoy a free night of entertainment.

“A different movie will play each night starting with The Beautiful Fantastic (PG) on 17 January, Ali’s Wedding (M) on 18 January and Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation (PG) on 19 January.

“Entry is free for everyone so gather your friends and family, bring your snacks, blankets and pillows and get comfortable for a night of family fun in Holroyd Gardens.

“Public transport will be the best way to access the event with a five minute walk from Merrylands Station. Limited street parking will be available in the surrounding areas.

“Movies in the Park is a great way for families to finish off the school holidays and still enjoy the warm summer nights. I hope to see all of you making the most of this brand new free event in Cumberland.”
