Join Cumberland City Council’s Seniors & Disability Services team for a social outing and an information session to engage and support people living with dementia, their families and carers in Australia.

Social Outing - Bus trip to Warragamba Dam

We’re taking a bus trip to Warragamba Dam, followed by a guided tour of Western Sydney International Airport, where you’ll also receive valuable insights and resources on dementia from expert staff.

When: Wednesday 17 September 2025 from 8:30am to 3:30pm

Residents aged 65yrs or over (50yrs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders) and People with Disability aged 18yrs or over and their carers living within the Cumberland City LGA.

You may be required to wear a mask while accessing transport.

If you have flu-like symptoms, please do not attend.

Please note, the coach is only accessible via stairs.

Bookings open 18 August and close 31 August 2025 or once booked out.

Tickets can be collected & paid for at Merrylands or Auburn Service Centre as nominated by you at your time of booking from 1 September 2025.

All tickets must be collected by 5 September 2025. Any unclaimed tickets will be re-sold.

Dietary requirements submitted at the time of booking are unable to be changed.

If you do not attend this may impact your ability to book future Seniors & Disability events provided by Council.

If you do not attend on the day, tickets are non-refundable.

What time should we be at the pickup location?

You should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled pick-up time.

Where will I be picked up from?

Either of the 2 locations provided and nominated during booking; details also included on the tickets. Pickup location chosen during booking.

Do I need to wear a mask?

You may be required to wear a mask while travelling on the coach, we strongly encourage this.

What is the lunch provided?

There was a choice given during booking.

What time will we be back?

The coach will depart the venue at approx. 2.30pm to make its way back to the pickup locations.

What happens if it rains on the day?

All locations have indoor areas. In the event of extreme adverse weather, Council may choose to cancel or postpone the event.
