Cumberland Council is offering free HSC workshops during the school holidays for local Year 12 students. The workshops provide personalised assistance and support from senior HSC teachers and markers in preparation for their exams.

Mayor Greg Cummings said the workshops were a good way for students to practice possible HSC questions and seek additional help in the lead up to the exams.

“We want all students in Cumberland to do their very best in the HSC exams. Council is committed to providing students with the support and tools to achieve their best possible results,” Mayor Cummings said.

“We know that exams can be a stressful time for students and families. The workshops are welcome news to parents as well as students.

“Sometimes getting out of the house and into a fresh study environment is a good idea to focus and clear the head.

“Students who attend the workshops will have direct access to some of the most experienced and professional teachers - for free.

“This is a great opportunity to ask questions, clarify theory or learn new concepts in the lead up to the HSC exams. I hope our local students are able to make the most of it.”

Workshops are available for high school students living in the Cumberland LGA and hosted at Granville Youth Centre, 3a Memorial Drive Granville. Bookings can be made via the Cumberland website.
