Cumberland Council is bringing family fun to Auburn Park this school holidays with a free circus activity day for kids aged 0-12 on Tuesday 17 April 2018 from 10am – 2pm.

The circus themed event will feature a range of free child friendly activities including:

  • Stage performances
  • Hands on circus workshops in a large inflatable tent
  • Face painting
  • Clown biscuit decorating
  • Bungee trampoline
  • Train rides
  • Sporting activities including a workshop with players from the Greater Western Sydney Giants AFL team.

Mayor Greg Cummings said that it is important for Council to provide free family friendly activities allowing families to get the most out of the school holidays.

“The school holidays are a great opportunity for families to spend quality time together and make fun memories but it shouldn’t need to cost them a fortune. We want to make it easy for families to get out and about in Cumberland,” Mayor Cummings said.

“The free outdoor activities available on the day are a simple way for parents to encourage their young children to be healthy and active during the holidays with trampolining, sporting workshops and hands on circus demonstrations, among other sessions available.

“Auburn Park is a great location for our school holiday fun day, close by to public transport and with plenty of parking available. There will also be food stalls, food trucks, and side show alley games available.

“Last year our Fun4Kids events were very successful with around 8000 people attending our Winter Wonderland event in July. We hope to see a similar positive turnout this school holidays and I encourage everyone to take advantage of the free Council family activities available.”
