New Auburn South Community and Recreation Centre

Cumberland Council is inviting the community to have their say on the development of a new multi-purpose community facility on the former Auburn RSL Bowling Club Site.

Interested members of the community can participate in community forums:

  • Tuesday 19 March 2019, 10am - 12pm, Berala Community Centre, 98-104 Woodburn Road, Berala.
  • Thursday 21 March 2019, 5.30pm – 7pm, Auburn West Public School Hall, Chiswick Road, Auburn.

Those who are unable to attend in person will be able to have their say online at haveyoursay.cumberland.nsw.gov.au until Friday 29 March.

The new facility will deliver much needed additional meeting, event and activity spaces for residents and community groups and provide five outdoor synthetic multi-purpose sport courts,” Mayor Greg Cummings said.

Council is seeking your feedback on the proposed concept plans and your views on the programs you would like to see provided at the new centre.”

Development of the Auburn South Community and Recreation Centre forms part of Council’s Cumberland Community Strategic Plan 2017-2020, helping to achieve ‘Strategic Goal 1: A great place to live’.
