Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) Advisory Committee

Advises Council on matters about Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities in Cumberland.

Committee objectives

The purpose of the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) Advisory Committee is to:

  • Inform Council decision making in relation to policy, programs, service delivery, communication methods and engagement practices
  • Assist Council to consult and respond to issues facing new and emerging CALD communities in the Cumberland Local Government Area.

We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples as the First Peoples of Australia. Cumberland Council also acknowledges other Aboriginal, and Torres Strait Islander Peoples living in the Cumberland LGA and reaffirms that we will work closely with all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to advance reconciliation within the area.
