Learn the basics of Pacific mat weaving in a drop-in workshop at Granville Centre Art Gallery and become part of the community that will help launch Powerhouse Parramatta.
In collaboration with GCAG and Powerhouse Parramatta, we are hosting a series of drop-in workshops, teaching the basics of Pacific mat weaving. You’ll work alongside skilled professionals to help create 80 woven mats, which will be used later in 2026 at the celebrations for the opening of Powerhouse Parramatta.
Recommended for ages 12+ years. Under 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
Each session is four hours long.
