Hands-on STEM learning, real science explained in kid-friendly ways, take-home science projects to keep the fun going!

Step into the role of an Eco Detective and solve an exciting environmental mystery! Participants will explore hands-on water testing, pollution investigations, and simple water-cleanup science while learning how scientists protect our environment. The workshop concludes with a fun puzzle challenge and surprise Easter egg hunt, celebrating teamwork and environmental responsibility.

Please note:

  • Only Cumberland City Council residents are eligible for this program.
  • One ticket per child, accompanying parent/ caregivers do not require a ticket.
  • If you can no longer attend the program, please advise to cancel your ticket so another child can attend.
  • Parents are required to stay on site with their child/ren for the entire duration of the program.

Children’s Programs Terms and Conditions

I have read, understood and agree to abide by the terms outlined in the activities:

* I confirm that I am the parent/guardian of the person registered on this form and/or that I have obtain permission from the parent/guardian of the child/ren I am bringing to this clinic.

* Cumberland Council and its service provider attempt to minimise any risk of personal injury to its participants. I understand that Cumberland City Council and its service provider are not liable for any loss or damage to personal property which is suffered or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with this activity.

* I agree that I will endeavour to arrive prior to the commencement of the session.

* I understand and accept that if I am more than 20 minutes late to the session that my child/ren's spot maybe forfeited to the child/ren who are on the waiting list.

* Cumberland Council reserves the right to remove any participant from the program when staff or an instructor believes the participant presents a safety concern, is disruptive, or acts in any manner detrimental to the program.

* In the case of an emergency, I authorise Cumberland City Council staff, where it is impractical to communicate with me, to arrange for my child to receive any medical or surgical treatment/s that may be required. I also undertake to pay or reimburse costs which may be incurred for medical attention, ambulance transport and medication as a result of my child participating in Cumberland Council School Holiday Program activities.

* I agree to remain onsite with my child/ren during the activities. I agree onsite with onsite with my child/ren and to maintain continuous supervision throughout the entire course of the activity. I agree that I am solely responsible for the supervision of my child/ren during the activities.

* Any personal information provided by you on this form will be used by Council and, or its agents to process this application.

* Once your information has been collected by Council, the information can be accessed by you and may also be available to third parties in accordance with Council's Access to Information Policy.

* I agree to contact staff at least 48 hours prior to advice cancellation of booking. Failure to abide by this rule may result in you/your child/ren being removed from all future programs.
