National Simultaneous Storytime

Celebrate National Simultaneous Storytime at Cumberland City Libraries as children across the country gather to read ‘Lunar Roo the Kangaroo Baller’ by Adam jackson, Adrian Lloyd and Jake Minton.

Celebrate National Simultaneous Storytime on 27 May 2026

Children and families can enjoy stories, songs, and craft activities! This free event is for children 3 years and older.

Merrylands Library at 10:55am - Corner of Miller and Newman Street, Merrylands 

Additional sessions will be held at Greystanes and Lidcombe Libraries at 11am.

We recognize that little ones can be unpredictable, but arriving 10 minutes ahead of time will help us stay on schedule. No need to make a booking.

No bookings needed, just come along on the day.

Acknowledgement of Traditional Custodians

Cumberland City Council acknowledges the Darug Nation and People as Traditional Custodians of the land on which the Cumberland Local Government Area (LGA) is situated and pays respect to Aboriginal Elders both past, present and future. We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples as the First Peoples of Australia. Cumberland City Council also acknowledges other Aboriginal, and Torres Strait Islander Peoples living in the Cumberland LGA and reaffirms that we will work closely with all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to advance reconciliation within the area.
