To raise awareness during Homelessness Week, Council is opening a community support hub on Monday 7 August from 10am to 2pm at Westmead Progress Hall.
The Hub will provide the community the chance to easily access services, and information around housing, food, legal aid, financial aid, mental health, and other areas.
The Hub will also provide people who may be disadvantaged or vulnerable with the opportunity to get support (example) having the correct forms of ID can be a huge obstacle for those who may be homeless, as without ID they cannot access Centrelink payments, open a bank account, or obtain accommodation.
