Diabetes Awareness in Your Community

This program was designed in partnership with Diabetes Australia NSW. Come and learn about the causes of diabetes and to be aware on how to prevent or delay the development of type 2 diabetes. Participants should attend all 3 sessions to complete the program.

'Bone Up’ Osteoporosis Awareness Program – in Arabic

This program aims to increase awareness and improve management of osteoporosis.

Bowel Health and Bowel Screening – in Arabic

Learn about the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program, the bowel screening test, why it is so important and how to do it. You will also learn how bowel cancer develops, the risk factors for bowel cancer, ways to reduce the risk and recognising the signs or symptoms.

Online Safety

Join us for this online safety information session and learn about the basics of cyber security. This information session will cover simple actions to help prevent cyber attacks and stay safe and secure online. No technical skills are needed.

Healthy Lifestyle for Seniors – in Tamil

This program focuses on healthy lifestyle for seniors, nutrition, regular dental checkup, prioritising sleep, keeping active and mental wellbeing.

Limit places available for all activities.

All activities are for Cumberland City Council residents aged 60 years or over (50 years for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders)

Bookings close 3 days prior or once booked out.

Cancellations

If an event is cancelled, only registered participants will be notified.

If you need to cancel your booking, please notify the organiser as soon as possible - so that others can participate.
