Immunisation, Infectious Diseases and Illness Exclusion

Our education and care services aim to ensure that a healthy and safe environment is maintained in accordance with sections 77 and 79 of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and that the spread of infectious diseases are prevented.

A child’s health is an important part of their well-being. If a child is ill, they are not able to enjoy their time in care and their attendance increases the chance of cross infection to other children. We believe that the health and wellbeing of all children and educators in care are of upmost importance and all steps will be taken to reduce the risks of cross infection. The most effective way to ensure this occurs is to exclude anyone from the care environment who is unwell.
