National Volunteer Week

We are celebrating and recognising the vital work of our volunteers. THANK YOU!

National Volunteer Week will take place from 19 to 25 May 2025

National Volunteer Week (NVW) is Australia's largest annual celebration of volunteering.

We are pleased to announce the theme for National Volunteer Week 2025 is 'Connecting Communities'.

Council celebrates the diverse range of passions and talents, emphasising that there's a perfect role for each person in the world of volunteering. Whether it's the environment, community, education, or more, there's a place where everyone's unique skills shine.

If you're looking to gain valuable work experience, contribute to community life, meet new people, and learn new skills, consider volunteering! We have a variety of roles available, including bus driving, meal delivery, shopping with seniors, running English/Computer classes, reading with children/adults, supporting the Youth and Children Services Program, assisting at local Childcare Centres, and helping at Community Centres and Events. Join us and make aa difference!
