The Cumberland ClubGRANTS scheme has distributed more than $1 million to 70 community projects at a presentation at Wenty Leagues Club. The Cumberland ClubGRANTS scheme is funded by local clubs and administered by Cumberland Council.

Mayor Greg Cummings said community organisations in Cumberland play an invaluable role delivering services and support to those most in need.

“This year the ClubGRANTS Scheme has provided financial assistance for projects in the areas of Welfare and Social Services; Community Development; Community Health Services; and Employment Assistance Activities.

“We are proud that our community organisations in Cumberland have access to more than $1.7 million worth of grants through the ClubGRANTS Scheme and Council grants programs.

“It’s Council’s vision to make sure as many different community organisations in Cumberland are resourced with the tools to execute their ambitious visions. This is why we offer a number of workshops and tools to assist organisations with the grants application process.

“We want everyone who lives or visits Cumberland Council to feel welcome, belong and be empowered to succeed, and our community organisations and local clubs help us achieve this.

“Without the ongoing contribution of local clubs many of these community projects would not be able to go ahead, and Council recognises their support. Congratulations to all groups who received funding.”
