Refugee Week 2024

Refugee Week is Australia’s peak annual activity to promote greater awareness of refugees, the issues they face and the contributions refugees are making to the Australian community.

This year, Refugee Week, focuses on the strength of families and their resilience. It is an important time for our community to come together in unity.

Refugee Week Community Celebration

When: Monday 17 June, 2024 from 10am to 1pm
Where: Auburn Centre for Community, 44a Macquarie Road, Auburn

Come join us at Auburn Centre for Community where there will be gardening activities and tours to explore our beautiful Community Garden.

Children are welcome to enjoy story time with Poppy the Possum and take part in creative crafts. Participate in lawn games where you can explore ways to help you stay active and fit.

Don't forget to check out the poetry & cultural fashion on display in the main hall and stay for the delicious FREE community lunch.

This community celebration is also a chance to connect with local services and community organisations that provide information, support and referrals .
