For the first time ever, Cumberland Council will be hosting a Spring Fair on Thursday 28 September at the Berala Community Centre.

Community members will be treated to a day of free family friendly activities and entertainment including face painting, cupcake decorating and slime workshops, plus a visit from the lovable pirate, Captain Luke N’Silly.

Cumberland Mayor Lisa Lake said it was exciting for Council to be hosting a first of its kind Spring Fair in Cumberland later this month.

“This is the first time we’re hosting the Berala Spring Fair. It’s a perfect way for our community to enjoy the school holidays with their children.”

“With the weather warming up, there’s no better time to be outside enjoying the Spring weather, so I encourage you to round up the family and join in the fun,” said Mayor Lake.

Building on the success of the Friendship Garden Open Day at the Auburn Centre for Community earlier this year, the Spring Fair aims to foster collaboration among local not-for-profit organisations and Council services, and give them a platform to showcase and offer their services to the wider Cumberland community.

All funds raised at the Fair will go towards sustaining the operations of these community organisations.

The Berala Spring Fair is on Thursday 28 September from 10am to 2pm at the Berala Community Centre.

There will be a range of free giveaways on the day as well as a free BBQ lunch for all attendees. All children who attend must be accompanied by an adult.
